About the Opportunity

Greck currently has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Water Resource EngineerProject Manager to join our team in Woodbridge, Ontario.  If you are someone who wants to work for a company on the rise and wants to make a difference in an essential role, this could be the position for you. In this role, you will lead the water resources component of a wide variety of projects. As a key member of the team and company, you will work together with staff and clients on numerous active projects. You will report directly to corporate managers and will have both technical and business development responsibilities.

You'll work on a variety of projects in this role, some of which will include:

  • Urban drainage and stormwater management.
  • Stream corridor restoration, natural channel design, channel stabilization, and erosion control.
  • Fishways, fish passage barrier mitigation, and low head dam decommissioning.
  • Hydraulic analysis for the design of channels, bridges, culverts, weirs, sewers and fishways.
  • Watershed and subwatershed management studies.
  • Watershed hydrology and flood plain hydraulics and mapping.
  • Public consultation and Environmental Assessments for watercourse and drainage projects.
  • Environmental restoration and enhancement projects.

In order to qualify for this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Water Resources Engineering or Civil Engineering combined with consulting experience within the Greater Toronto/Ontario region.

The successful candidate will also have:

  • A current P.Eng designation with Professional Engineers Ontario.
  • Familiarization with CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation).
  • Experience preparing written reports (SWMR, FSR, Design Briefs).
  • Expert knowledge of industry-standard hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software packages.
  • Expert knowledge of municipal sewer design in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of local municipal, provincial and conservation authority policies and regulations, specifications and approvals process.
  • Extensive knowledge of local municipality standards, specifications, tendering and approvals process.
  • Experience preparing, overseeing and successfully winning proposals (public and private contracts).

The ideal candidate will have experience providing unparalleled service to clients and liaising with construction personnel. As such, you must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities in order to complete projects on time and on budget.
